Augusta: The feedback begins....

Kurt and Lynn,
I very seldom get involved with the workings of the party. As you probably know I have little tolerance for the political B.S. we get from most elected officials. Kurt has attempted everything within reason to deal with the situation and he has tried to do it fairly.

That's the problem. When you try to play with pigs you need to get in the mud. They threw lies, distortions and dirt at all of you and they did it without fear of retaliation. Emmett Hanger is the epitomy of a dirty politician and he needs to be brought to task for his evil dealings. Yes, I said evil, he is an evil person bent only on retaining control of his little empire. His pursuit of revenge against all of you is proof of that. But I'm sure you know all of that.

My purpose in writing this is to urge all of you not to give up. I know it is discouraging when you lose or someone on your side betrays you, but it is a fight worth all of that.

Don't quit for the good of the party. The party is already broken. It may have to be broken worse before you can put it back together.

As long as Hanger and his boot lickers are in charge it will never be a united party. They care only about their power and the people be damned. The party is not what is important here; it is your values and beliefs and ultimately our country that is important.

Fight these people to the bitter end with every weapon you can find. I know it is against everything you believe in but it has to be done.

Believe me when I say that if I was more articulate as a speaker I would jump in with all four feet and tell anyone who would listen what is happening and I would use everything at my disposal. I will do anything I can to help you but you must not give up, ever.

Kurt, this probably goes against everything you believe about politics but when you're dealing with the likes of Emmett Hanger it is necessary to get down and dirty. Just keep this in the public's eye any way you can and sooner or later you will come out ahead. I am not suggesting that you lie or cheat; just tell the truth but tell it to the whole country if you have to.

You all probably have more people behind you than you realize (the silent majority) but they are all potential voters. Don't worry about the party - it will survive - but you must win this fight. It is about our beliefs and values.

Your opponents believe in power and money. The proof of that lies in Roller's words that Hanger was "groomed for this." We elect people in this country; we don't coronate them. Any time a politician thinks he is owed his office it is time to replace him.

In closing, I want you to know that I understand the strain and hardship you are under and that I am asking you to carry. I hope you will reconsider your decision to resign and will carry this fight to the end. I will help any way I am able to. Give 'em hell, Kurt!!!!!
