I educated my children at h...Elle, I totally agree. I educated my children at home for 16 years and was grateful for the opportunity to offer them an alternative to the public schools. Having said that, I think school choice should be available for everyone whether it's public school, home school, or a faith-based school.<BR/><BR/>Just as we are all individuals, so are our students with differences in learning styles, attention spans, and interests. For me, home schooling offered a choice to tailor the curriculum to each of my children ... and they both had different learning styles. That's just in a family with two children -- imagine the differences in a classroom of children in public school!<BR/><BR/>This is not the most popular issue to be pursuing in the General Assembly -- the education field has a huge lobbying effort -- so I am impressed that Chris has not only introduced legislation but continued to pursue its passage while continuing to investigate and research the issue in Virginia and nationwide.Lynn R.
