Waynesboro's Eagle's Nest Airport: Riding the updrafts over the Blue Ridge

Soaring at Eagle's Nest Airport in Waynesboro Saturday morning ... check out this fantastic video. Eagle's Nest is home of  the Shenandoah Valley Soaring Club. They may look like two dots in the clouds but here a pull plane pulls a glider high over the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains before releasing it to soar and glide its way back to the airport. It's a familiar site in this area -- seeing pull planes with gliders behind them climbing into the sky. Meanwhile, out of the photo frame, another glider was soaring on the updrafts.
