Tom White of Virginia Right! ... welcome to Jeffersoniad

The News Hound is in the house.

The newest member of the Jeffersoniad is right-of-center blogger Tom White from Virginia Right! Freshly off his CPAC experience in DC and blogging at Rep. Eric Cantor's annual campaign breakfast, Tom has been busy since our first meeting almost a year ago at the RPV Convention in Richmond. Be sure to check out the wide array of posts he puts up. Welcome, Tom! It's an honor to have you with us.

J's Notes turns 8

Jason Kenney at 2009 RPV Convention.

Eight years ago America had a new Republican president after a long and difficult campaign ... eight years ago we were in the middle of a lazy summer ... eight years ago I was preparing lesson plans for my two home schooled children, gearing up for the new school year.
Eight years ago America was in the calm before the storm, unaware that in a few weeks tragedy would hit this nation in a way we had never experienced before, testing a new president, the American people, and the world.

And eight years ago today Jason Kenney started blogging at J's Notes which makes his one of the longer-running blogs in what has become a very crowded field of opinions and discussion. I am not sure I even knew what a blog was eight years ago, and certainly would not have had time for one. Jason is a wealth of technology information, someone many of his fellow Jeffersoniad bloggers turn to for answers to techie questions.

Gratitude goes to Jason for his conservative views and for helping to pave the way for older bloggers like myself to find a voice and join in the debate. Congratulations and happy anniversary to J's Notes.

Congratulations from fellow bloggers:

- Doug Mataconis at Below the Beltway: Eight years of blogging

Thanks for the welcome, Virginia Conservative

“The Jeffersoniad” was an early 19th century series of columns printed in Boston’s Columbian Sentinel during the presidency of Thomas Jefferson. Today, the Jeffersoniad is a group of respectful yet ideologically separated Virginia bloggers seeking a genuine contest of ideas.
Last week I accepted an invitation to join the merry band of Jeffersoniad bloggers. Virginia Conservative blog north of Augusta County in the Shenandoah Valley posted to say hello and welcome me to the group. Many thanks, and I look forward to writing with some old blogging friends while meeting new ones.
