And ice crystals danced in the air....

The sun is bright this morning and ice crystals are gleaming and dancing in the air as snowflakes drift from tree limbs. The Shenandoah Valley is digging out of the second nor'easter of the season.

The SWAC area bloggers have reported between 16-18" of new snow as they clear decks and driveways. Mike has snow depths ... Phil has photos in Fishersville ... David also has photos in Stuarts Draft ... Bob has photos just south of Staunton ... Jason has been working.

Many church services were canceled this morning. School closings have not been posted yet.

All eyes are turning to the next snow maker coming in Tuesday night. WHSV TV-3 reported:
VALLEY - After a cold night expect colder temperatures to persist along with sunshine through Sunday and the first half of the work week. Temperatures will remain near the freezing level allowing us to keep all the freshly plowed snow. Our next chance for wintry precipitation arrives Tuesday evening into Wednesday. We're looking for mixed precipitation during the day and some snow overnight.
It is almost noon and the temp has climbed to a toe-numbing 17 degrees. Daytime highs later this week are expected to be in the 30s with tonight's overnight low in the single digits again.

All this snow ... I almost forgot it's Super Bowl Sunday....

Bravo, Tim Tebow ... will convey pro-life message at Super Bowl

Liberal women's groups make me tired. Unless you agree with and think like them, they want nothing to do with you. So much for "women's equality" ... hypocrisy once again raises its ugly head.

The latest controversy is a pro-life Super Bowl ad that will feature football player Tim Tebow saying his mother did not get an abortion 22 years ago ... because of that, he became a Heisman Trophy winner and will be at the Super Bowl conveying the pro-life message.

What's the problem? Liberal women's groups say they are "offended" because the ad is "likely to convey an anti-abortion message."

Are libs concerned it will be a pro-LIFE message? Would those women prefer Tim Tebow were killed in utero?

Bravo to Tim and his mom, Pam, for standing up to tell the story. Boo-hisses to the lib women's groups who propose to be for women's rights but obviously do not stand for Pam Tebow's right to choose.
