I am always amazed at all that Bob accomplishes ... photographs, art, architectural scale renderings, hiking, church, family ... his window on the world is always filled with beauty and reminds me to slow down and look around.
Hop on over to The Journey and scroll down to see a mural he is working on for church, another mural under a Crozet railroad overpass, and the latest edition of THYME Magazine.

The sign that SHOULD be in DC....
Earlier this week, Bob over at The Journey posted this sign under the heading, Welcome Sign for Protesters with a sub-title, "It Should Be on Every Approach to Washington."
It was a creation of his work with PhotoShop but, truth be told, it should be in the city where so many go to protest. As Bob said ... if it was posted at entranceways, it would give those approaching the city an opportunity to think....
Amen.

One man's job ...
... can make a difference in the world in many ways.
Bob's artistic talent can be seen on his blog, The Journey, as well as in his sketches, paintings, and models. To observe things as he does causes me to look at the world in a different way ... I see more than I did in the past because I have seen it through his eyes in his photos.
One man doing his job while spending his day at Ellicott Mills is a wonderful read.

Afton: Kirchman Studio's vision of mountaintop living
The conversation continues about how to restore Afton Mountain as Bob of Kirchman Studio and The Journey blog shares photos and images of other mountain communities such as Wintergreen in Virginia and Stratton Mountain in Vermont. The visuals show what Afton Mountain could be. Check this previous post for Bob's sketches of a Village at Afton.
The conversation and the vision continue....

Bob Kirchman's grand sketch
Grand furniture store in downtown Staunton is closing and there are thoughts of using the building to create a Children's Museum.
Bob Kirchman of The Kirchman Studio drew a sketch of his rendition of the building on Beverley Street as it would look turned into a Children's Museum. Check out the sketch and his blog about the idea to transform an old downtown building.
