The gentle pit-pat of raindrops can be heard this morning through the open windows as the gray, overcast sky finally produced what it had been threatening for several days. Mother Nature kindly held off sending the rain until after the Independence Day picnic on Friday and the 4th of July celebrations yesterday. The rain is appreciated and helps settle the dust and water the garden.
It was a perfect Independence Day 2009.
