We woke to a crisp 39 degrees this morning with an expected high today in the upper 70s. It is another gorgeous autumn day in the Shenandoah Valley ... sunny, clear skies and the trees are putting on a magnificent show for all to see.
The mountain tops are at peak this weekend which means the Valley will probably peak next weekend. Already colors at these lower elevations are bright and colorful. The forecasted thunderstorms did not materialize on Friday so the trees were not stripped of as many leaves as expected.
This is it ... the waning days of October ... as we enjoy a mild fall....
