It was Nate's birthday on Tuesday. Last year he was in California with his Marine Corps Reserve Unit on his birthday preparing to deploy to Iraq. This year it was nice to have him home preparing to return to VMI ... and a number of home school families and their alumni children got together this evening in Gypsy Hill Park to celebrate his birthday, grateful for his safe return from Iraq. Volleyball, ice cream, and fellowship was followed up with the young folks going to a late movie....
