The beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains

The Skyline Drive is beautiful in autumn. Year in and year out, thousands make the journey to Shenandoah National Park, either for the day or a weekend or longer, to enjoy the quiet of the mountains as well as the serenity of the leaf colors. There are hiking trails, lodges, campgrounds, picnic areas, visitor centers, and horseback riding. It's been a special place for my family since my parents honeymooned at Big Meadow Lodge and as they had children, we were introduced to camping in the Park. Shenandoah National Park ... a special part of Virginia.
