Congressman Cantor honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“It is with great reverence that we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A man of determination and principle, Dr. King embodied a spirit of liberty that led our nation toward freedom and equality in a time of great need. Last year marked the 50th anniversary of many pivotal moments in the civil rights movement – and still fifty years later our work is not yet done. Today, access to a quality school and education remains a barrier to fully realizing the dream for too many families. As we celebrate Dr. King’s vision, let us strive to ensure that all Americans regardless of race, background, or religion have the same opportunity to succeed in this great country.” --Congressman Eric Cantor
