Cardinals in the snow

Cardinals are the scarlet bright spots in a snowstorm. The Virginia state bird stands out in the whiteout conditions as they join other birds at the feeder.

Freezing rain overnight caused icy branches before the onset of snow.

This lady was under the picnic table where SWAC Husband had thrown some seed so it was out of the direct snowfall.

A little junco sat on the birch limb trying to avoid the blowing wind and horizontal snow.
