Blue Ridge Mountain sunset

While driving back to the Shenandoah Valley Sunday evening, the sun was setting behind the Blue Ridge Mountains as we approached on I-64 toward Afton Mountain. It was more brilliant than it shows in the photos ... beautiful silouette of the mountains and trees.

Shenandoah Valley sunset....

Was out lit dropping for Travis Smithdeal this afternoon until after dark. The sunset was breath-taking as the sun sank behind the mountains ... I stopped on the road, got out of my vehicle, and took this photo which does not begin to do it justice. Absolutely beautiful ... another Shenandoah Valley day coming to an end....
