Media bias against conservatives ... from one of them

ABC's political director Mark Halperin:

"If I were a conservative, I understand why I would feel suspicious that I was not going to get a fair break [in the press].... The mindset at ABC ... is just too focused on being more favorable to Nancy Pelosi, say, than Newt Gingrich.... You're seeing here a [CBS] '60 Minutes' piece about Nancy Pelosi. I don't remember Newt Gingrich getting a piece that favorable in 1994."

-- From my newspaper hero Ross Mackenzie's Op-Ed column, Richmond Times-Dispatch, 12/10/06

MIght I suggest some reading material?

The Media Monopoloy by Ben Basgdikian, dean of Columbia Uniersity's Journalism School. It's an older book but gives one a good foundation in how the media operates.

The media itself puts out that propaganda about having a "liberal" bias...when media actually has a very heavy "corporate" bias.

LOL....I haven't heard any of the papers calling for Bush's impeachment even though a majority of Americans--61%--think impeachment hearings for treason, high crimes and misdemeanors should occur. Funny how hundreds of newspapers called for impeachment hearings for Clinton (for a misdemeanor) when only a small minority of Americans suppported this.

IF you are going to use the propaganda phrase "liberal media" you should at least attempt to back this up with "real world" facts.

Buzz...Buz...
