CHARLOTTESVILLE-- Apparently thieves are busily breaking into vehicles to steal iPods in C-ville.
During 2006 more than 150 of the nifty little music devices were stolen, and this year is on track to surpass that number.
Police reported 25 iPods were stolen around the University of Virginia area the past two weeks. Thieves broke car windows with rocks to get to the hot items ... and then resold them to teens who are eager to get their hands on them.
So here's fair warning to iPod owners: If you leave it in your car (and who would do that anyway?), hide it out of sight because you just may come back to a broken window and missing iPod.
