Sarah Palin is in Minneapolis and she arrived early this morning at the Xcel Center for a sound check of the stage. The buzz among delegates at this convention concerning Governor Palin is amazing. Women are ecstatic. Men are enthusiastic. Young people think it's great. If there are negative words, I've not heard them.
Tonight is Sarah Palin's night at the Republican National Convention and it should be an electrifying moment in time. While the liberal Democrats try to tear her down and demonize her, conservatives continue to support this ticket of McCain-Palin in a way we needed in order to win this election.
I continue to be shocked at the vitriol coming from lefty bloggers and Democrat supporters such as the New York Times that had the story of Gov. Palin's daughter's pregnancy on the front top-of-the-fold page Tuesday. It was above coverage of Hurricane Gustav, that storm that the liberals were so concerned about that they would have scorned Republicans if we had partied Monday night as if nothing was going on with the weather. However, they are able to forgo top coverage of the storm to put a personal family story front-and-center. The last time I saw this much venom was during George Allen's race two years.
The left and MSM had best be careful in this story. America is watching in a way they have not before. They are paying attention, and 84% believe a woman will be President within the next 10 years.
Meanwhile, tonight all of America will know "Sarah Palin is in the house" when the Xcel Center explodes in support of this woman.
