Rainy and cool in the Shenandoah Valley ...

... and I'm loving it!

Yesterday was extremely blustery ... today it has calmed down a bit. We are slipping into cooler days and even cooler nights ... it's been lower 40s a number of nights the past two weeks.

A few leaves are starting to turn colors and the trees are not looking like their usual lush green selves ... falling leaves are scattered on the grassy lawn. This afternoon it is overcast with light rain, and the deer are lying down in the yard near the woods. The weather forecast is predicting rain the next two days.

I love rainy days! It's autumn in the Valley....
