Augusta County schools are closed for the third day in a row after the Shenandoah Valley received four inches of fresh snow on top of what was already on the ground from the weekend. The snow began Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. in western Augusta County and continued all day and late into the night.
Staunton and Waynesboro public schools opened on two-hour delays Tuesday only to close early as the new snow moved into the area.
Many area schools are closed today, and all are bracing for another storm that is predicted to hit Friday and Saturday.
It's still winter in the Shenandoah Valley....
