Texas Steakhouse helps our military

While lunching at Staunton's Texas Steakhouse recently, I noticed a table display making patrons aware that Texas has a special place in its heart for the U.S. military:
You've served us ... now let us serve you. 10% discount for all active duty and retired military up to 5 friends or family members! With mililtary I.D.
The giving-back continued on the dessert menu which noted that $1 of the $4.99 of each "Grandma's Strawberry Shortcake" order went to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Since I was with a military veteran, we talked with the manager who said Texas is proud to support our service men and women, and added that a bulletin board was about to be posted near the restaurant entrance where photos of local active duty military could be posted and honored.

Texas also offers free Wi-Fi so you can take your laptop along especially if dining alone. Helping the vets ... providing access to email ... a community-minded business in the central Shenandoah Valley.

I was just up near there. Well, Massanutten.....

But this is really cool. Next time you go, tell the management that even vets that don't live near there appreciate the gesture. Go Navy!
