The barn on the American farm at the Frontier Culture Museum on a cold January afternoon.
It's winter at the Frontier Culture Museum where leaves are off the trees and the cold winds sweep down from the nearby Blue Ridge Mountain ridges. Seasonal operating hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. It's a great time to visit and see how the early pioneers lived through the frigid, windy, snowy days of winter.
