It will be official in about 45 minutes as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announces his Vice Presidential pick is 42-year-old Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. The ticket has become energized as Republicans move forward.
Ryan is one of House Leader Eric Cantor's Young Guns of House leadership and the future of the Republican Party. The announcement is to be at 9:00 a.m. in front of the U.S.S. Wisconsin docked at Portsmouth, Virginia.
The congressman from Wisconsin will be added to the ticket in front of the battleship named after his state (and that my dad served on during World War II in the South Pacific).
