Tonight from VA Tech ... last U.S. Senate debate with Allen & Kaine

George Allen sign in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Tonight marks the final debate for the Virginia U.S. Senate debate between Republican George Allen and Democrat Tim Kaine. Sponsored by Virginia Tech and WSLS-TV, it will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Haymarket Theater at Squires Student Center on the Virginia Tech campus.

Jay Warren, WSLS senior political reporter and anchor, will moderate the one-hour debate along with Robert Denton, WSLS political analyst and professor of communication at Virginia Tech.

The debate will be broadcast live on C-SPAN (channel 17 on campus), WSLS TV, and the Virginia Tech campus will also be able to access it on campus cable Channel 10 or WSLS-HD on Channel 66.

I'll be covering the event for Bearing Drift and SWAC Girl although I'm not sure what the set-up will be so it may or may not be live-blogged, and we'll have photos as permitted.

The campus of Virginia Tech is beautiful in its fall colors of maroon and gold maple trees. The window in my room at the Inn at Virginia Tech looks out over the autumn-colored mountains to the west. The view is peaceful and stunning all at the same time even as clouds roll in for rain that is expected later tonight.

Everyone is looking forward to the debate so stay tuned....
