Shenandoah Valley has 15 inches of snow and still coming down

At 7:00 this morning the deck was covered with 15 inches of snow and 20-inch drifts. The right corner of the deck, under that pile of snow, is the heated bird bath. I literally waded through the white stuff that was over my boots and almost up to my knees to measure what had fallen overnight. With heavy snow continuing throughout the day, not sure what the final totals will be.

It's a Winter Wonderland! Flocked evergreen trees look like a Norman Rockwell painting, and the bird feeder is extremely busy with our featured friends stopping by for breakfast. Looking out the window, it feels like winter in Colorado!

While many of us are enjoying a snow day, here's a special thanks to my friends who are doctors, nurses, hospital personnel, and emergency responders who continue to work to care for those who need them. Also thanks to the electrical workers who help keep the lights on. A special thanks to the VDOT guys working to keep the roads open so the above can get to their destinations. Stay safe and warm....
