Most conservative political bloggers have dealt with the vitriol of the lefty bloggers. Anyone who has not stood at this front line of conservative defense has no idea what is out here, the aimless anger and coordinated (often paid) attacks on conservatives. Many righty blogs have had to moderate their comments sections because of the down-right nastiness that is written by the hate-filled hired hands of the radical Left.
Donald Douglas has certainly received his fair share of the vitriol over at his American Power blog, and his latest post documents the most current coordinated attacks from the Left because he dared to write about 9/11 and his trip to New York City to participate in the Ground Zero Mosque protest. A heads-up: Language Warning.
One Douglas supporter cautioned about responding to the Left by commenting, "Two reasons to never wrestle with a pig: 1) You get dirty. 2) The pig likes it. Never let them pull you into the cesspool, nor allow them to talk you into jumping in. Your unconquerable strength is in your ability to express the truth. They despise you for it. Let them!"
Good advice ... except sometimes the pig is begging to be turned into bacon and Donald does just that with his post. Hang in there, Donald, and all other conservative bloggers who stand up for their principles and their candidates day in and day out.

LA social studies teacher took students to protest Arizona's SB 1070
Jose Lara, a social studies teacher in Los Angeles, took students to Phoenix to protest the Arizona immigration bill that follows the federal law. Donald Douglas has video and commentary over at American Power including this:
A video posted on YouTube shows LA social studies teacher Jose Lara interviewing teachers and students on May 28 at the headquarters of an organization calling for a Mexican revolution on U.S. soil. Soon after he shot the video, many in the group left for an overnight "freedom ride" to Phoenix to protest what Lara tells the camera is a "racist and outrageous" law.You may also want to check out the Fox News link. Donald went to Arizona to cover the rally and has fantastic photos of the day's events as he documented the protest of SB 1070.
Four days later, the school board president implored the superintendent of schools to ensure that students in the district be taught that Arizona's law is "un-American" and Jim Crow-like. The law, passed in April, empowers law enforcement officials to question the immigration status of people they think may be in the country illegally.

Liberal coffee parties never perked as only a few drips turned out
What a bust! The liberals tried to generate an alternative caffeine wave in America ... and failed miserably.
Donald Douglas has a good follow-up at American Power as he writes, "I followed the 'coffee parties' over the weekend, and at most we say maybe 40 people turn out for any individual event."
Kind of funny because liberals are working on revenge against the tea party movement and, as we all know, revenge often is not a motivator. Tea parties are fueled by love of country and a passion to retain the freedoms we all enjoy and that were fought for by our veterans. Check out Donald's post for links to others.

Donald Douglas hanging out with Michele Bachmann and David Horowitz
Sounds like a great event in California where Dr. Donald Douglas blogs at American Power and where he attended what sounds like a great event featuring Rep. Michele Bachmann and conservative activist David Horowitz. Donald has lots of great photos and commentary.

American Power blog: "George W. Bush ... moral clarity against evil"
I liked American Power blog's post by Donald Douglas about President Bush and his leadership against the evil enemy of terrorism.
Of interest is the quote from former White House press secretary Ari Flescher who, like most who worked intimately with George W. Bush over the years, knew his boss and respected his direct talk. When it came to evil, there was no gray area as far as the President was concerned ... his job was to proect the American people.

American Power: "Victory in Iraq? The War Has Been Won"
One of my favorite blogs from outside the Virginia blogosphere is American Power in California that offers a conservative pro-military pro-America commentary by Donald Douglas in Orange County. Donald writes:
Donald's latest post is titled "Victory in Iraq? The War Has Been Won." It's well worth the read. I would encourage you to check out his blog and his thoughtful commentary on this and other current events.
I am a pro-victory Associate Professor of Political Science teaching in Southern California. I love my country, and I fully support current U.S. military operations around the world. I despise the hard-left radical agenda and discourse. I also abhor irrationalism in argumentation. I welcome comments and debate, and I'll defend my positions vigorously. Yet in friendship, you'll find no one more dignified, trustworthy, nor loyal.Amazing. A conservative political science professor in California....
