Some observers are reporting the shift. Iraqi bloggers Mohammed and Omar Fadhil, widely respected for their straight talk, say that "early signs are encouraging." The first impact of the "surge," they write, was psychological. Both friends and foes in Iraq had been convinced, in no small part by the American media, that the United States was preparing to pull out. When the opposite occurred, this alone shifted the dynamic.
Now that the surge is proven to be working, will the dems stop trying to hold back funds for the war? Will they give this war a chance?
I think we all know the answer to that question....

This is reality calling: the surge is not working and the imaginary WMDs are hidden under your bed.
No idiot like an old idiot, I suppose.
"Reality," get your head out of the sand. The WMDs were found already but you and the MSM refuse to recognize that fact. You are in denial just like the MSM and dems are about the troop surge working. Since you brought this up, I will do a new post about the success of the surge.
"Denial: Refusal to acknowledge."
I will not stoop to your level with name-calling. I will, however, say you are probably a partisan who is in denial.
Even the government has ceded that the WMDs were not there. I will assume that you are talking about the Santorum claim of WMD. They were old canisters that weren't usable for anythng. So nice try.
If you think the surge is working, go to Iraq and stand in the middle of Baghdad. You should be safe.
Denial is the refusal to acknowledge. Why can;t you conservatives acknowledge you were wrong on this and move on.
