For those who have fought for it ... freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.
A must-see program ... mark your calendars for Friday, May 25, 2007, at 8:00 p.m. on WAZT-TV. This weekly program, hosted by the Valley Family Forum's Dean Welty, will feature Augusta County resident SSgt. Herb Harman and his wife, Jan, in a program titled "God and Country: Faith on the Battlefield."
Just in time for Memorial Day, the program will go into the background of the war, then into the justification for war since that is still a big issue with many folks, and conclude with the personal experiences of the guests.
Also appearing with Herb will be Colonel Jeff White who heads up the ROTC program at James Madison University and who will, himself, be deploying to Iraq in June. His wife, Jocelyn, who was active military before having children, will also appear.
This is a great opportunity to hear from American soldiers and their military family members ... those American heroes who protect us on a daily basis.

"American soldier, an American ...
With my brothers and my sisters I will always take a stand,
When liberty's in jeopardy I will always do what's right,
I'm out here on the front line so sleep in peace tonight,
American soldier ... I'm an American soldier."
