Live-blogging from Marriott with GOP ... # 17

MSNBC has called it all the way across for the top three in Virginia ... McDonnell, Bolling, and Cuccinelli!!

Chaz just stopped by and got the updates from delegates in our area. ALL are running away with the elections! Matt Lohr is stomping his competition as is Todd Gilbert ... Landes, Bell, and Cline are doing great.

Word from the press pool is that independents in New Jersey are breaking 2-to-1 for Republican Chris Christie.

Eric Cantor is now on stage ... Republican Whip ... to huge cheers. He's reminding of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death" speech at St. John's Church in Richmond ... Virginia led then ... and tonight Virginia is leading again! "The Republican resurgence begins again tonight here in Virginia!" He's saying that tonight Virginia is saying no to Nancy Pelosi ... no to Harry Reid ... no to Barack Obama. Republicans ran a positive campaign ... true to conservative principles ... reaching out to all. Tonight is living proof that when we stand on our principles, our message and Republican agenda can win in every corner of this Commonwealth, and he thanked everyone for their support and hard work. Because of everyone we won a great victory tonight. The Republican resurgance has begun and it began right here in Virginia, he said.

(Krystle just interviewed Bob Holsworth beside us.)

Ben Marchi has stopped by to say hello ... I just spied 7th Congressional District chairman Linwood Cobb in the crowd.

Word just came through that Bob McDonnell's victory speech will be at 9:30 ... about an hour from now.

Tom Foley, 1st Congressional District Chairman, just stopped by with his wife to say hello. Rick Neel, RPV Treasurer, is here ... a lot of State Central faces are being seen now as folks filter in. Tim Murtaugh is pacing ... Nicole Riley has a headset on working the operations. A gentleman just asked what we were doing and I told him "blogging" ... he asked was it a paid position and we said no, it's volunteer, and he said, "Good for you guys ... getting the word out."

Word is Steve Shanon is getting ready to concede the Attorney General race.
