The snow began in the central Shenandoah Valley around 3:20 Friday afternoon ... and the picnic table in the back yard was covered in five minutes. We're expecting to be dumped on. With predictions that say upwards of two feet of the white stuff will fall over the next 36 hours, folks have been getting prepared.
We were out and about in Staunton today doing last minute Christmas shopping and mailing a package to Texas. It was busy in town as folks did what they felt was necessary to be prepared to be homebound for at least the next two days and possibly beyond.
It's winter in the Shenandoah Valley. Let it snow!
