First day of spring ... glorious sunny day in Shenandoah Valley

Sunny 70-degree day brings out jonquils.

It's the first day of spring 2010 ... the sun is out and temperatures are in the lower 70s as we enjoy an absolutely glorious day, emerging from our long snowy winter.

Ah ... God is good.

As I drove through the countryside today, a warm breeze coming in the window, I noticed crocuses and jonquils blooming in sunny spots although nothing has begun to bloom in my yard yet in western Augusta. But the shoots are up through the ground and I know a few more warm days will bring a riot of color in the flower beds.

It's spring in the Shenandoah Valley....
