Forest fire still burning in western Augusta County

We got dumped on with rain this week but it was not enough to completely douse the forest fire that has been burning the past week in George Washington National Forest in western Augusta County. This morning 60 firefighters will head out to work on several hot spots that continue to smolder and burn, according to WHSV TV-3.  The fire has burned  more than 150 acres of land in a remote area that made access difficult for personnel and equipment. I have more about the fire at the Washington Examiner.
