Fun and live entertainment are planned Saturday at the Frontier Culture Museum's Octoberfest in the central Shenandoah Valley.
Conveniently located just off I-81 in Staunton, the festivities begin at 12:00 noon and run until 8:00 p.m. Enjoy touring the American, Irish, British, and German homesteads as well as the newest addition of the West African Igbo farm on a beautiful autumn day.
Entertainment will be going on all day including performances by Shippensburg Blaskapelle, the Stonewall Brigade Band, and the Hirschjaeger Dancers.
There will also be two performances of he play Fair Fa Yee USA written by Irish playwright Jonathon Burgess at the Dod Ampitheater at 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.
The American farm will feature the Beaver Creek Long Knives with several colonial artisans doing demonstrations and selling wares.
Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children to enjoy a full day of activities and entertainment at the Frontier Culture Museum. Don't miss it!
