Tea Party Express bus egged in Nevada ... message being delivered to DC

First Amendment rights for thee.... The Tea Party Express and crowds estimated up to 30,000 met Saturday in Searchlight, NV, home of Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who helped jam health care reform down the throats of America, to kick off the latest "Tea Party Express -- Just Kick Them Out" cross-country tour to bring attention to ObamaCare and other overreaching government programs. They were reportedly met with eggs thrown at the bus by those who oppose their freedom of speech as Democrat SEIU members held directional signs pointing attendees in the wrong direction.

The Tea Party Express is carrying a message throughout America:
“You, the politicians in Washington, have failed We The People with your bailouts, out-of-control deficit spending, government takeovers of sectors of the economy, Cap & Trade, government-run health care, and higher taxes! If you thought we were just going to quietly go away, or that this tea party movement would be just a passing fad, you were mistaken. We’re taking our country back!”
The grassroots movement continues.

Tea Party Express prepares to leave from Harry Reid's hometown

~THOUSANDS TO ATTEND MASSSIVE "Showdown in Searchlight" TEA PARTY~
The battle to save America continues

As Congress seeks to force through an unpopular government-run healthcare fiasco, thousands upon thousands of tea party activists are preparing to converge on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's tiny hometown of Searchlight, NV, this Saturday, March 27th.

The "Showdown in Searchlight" takes place at 12:00 Noon (High Noon!) and is expected to draw a massive crowd of thousands of patriotic Americans.

Headlining the event will be former Governor of Alaska - and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin.

The 2008 Libertarian nominee for Vice President, Wayne Allyn Root, will also be on hand. No word back yet from 2008 Democratic nominee for Vice President, Joe Biden.

Joining Palin and Root will be an All-Star cast of conservative leaders and activists including Joe The Plumber, Saturday Night Live's Victoria Jackson, nationally syndicated radio talk show hosts Roger Hedgecock & Jerry Doyle, local Vegas talker, Heidi Harris of KDWN, conservative media icon, Andrew Breitbart, and ACORN sting video journalist Hannah Giles.

“Opposition to the federal health care takeover reaches across the country,” said Bryan Shroyer, Political Director of the Tea Party Express, “and the number of Americans flocking to Searchlight next week is just the most recent example.”

The giant crowd is being built through a major multi-state organizational effort, combining the membership of the Tea Party Express with supporters of local grassroots tea party and conservative groups throughout Nevada.

Thousands are also expected to come from surrounding states such as California and Arizona. And more still are flying in from all across the country, or driving to the event in their RVs.

A huge fleet of charter buses are bringing in supporters from all across Nevada, California, Arizona and Texas. For more information on charter buses to the “Showdown in Searchlight,” contact CharterBus.TPX@gmail.com.

Campgrounds throughout southern Nevada have been filling up as hundreds of supporters are driving their RVs to the event.

"Searchlight has a population of just under 700 people. This Saturday the town will swell to become one of the largest cities in the state of Nevada," Shroyer said.

"With Congress jamming through this healthcare bill, the momentum for this tea party movement will only grow stronger," said Shroyer.

Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out national tour kicks off March 27th in Searchlight, NV with 42 tea party rallies across the nation, ending in Washington, D.C. for the Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th.

Sarah Palin's speech at tea party convention: "I will live and die for the people of America"

Sarah Palin brought the house down at the Tea Party Nation convention Saturday night in Nashville. As the keynote speaker at a sold out dinner that closed the three-day convention, she said what many were thinking as she criticized the current Obama administration, praised our American troops, and thanked the tea party patriots for their activism and love of America. She received rousing applause and standing ovations throughout her remarks that lasted an hour, and the follow-up question-and-answer session.

The tea party movement, she said, is the future of America. "I will live and die for the people of America."

When the moderator said there were two words that scared liberals when mentioning 2012 ... "Sarah Palin" ... the crowd jumped to its feet in thunderous applause and then began chanting, "Run, Sarah, run!"

Here is the speech in its entirety.

Victim of beating by SEIU supporters joins National Tea Party Tour

~Kenneth Gladney to join Tea Party Express~

The Tea Party Express caravan, which features two 45-foot coaches, several RVs/motorhomes, minivans, SUVs, motorcycles, and passenger vehicles, will travel from August 28 to September 12 on a mission to unify, educate, and most importantly, encourage Americans to continue their opposition of deficit spending, government-run healthcare, and irresponsible bailouts.

The tour will culminate with the massive “9/12 March on Washington” event organized by a group of influential grassroots organizations.

The Tea Party Express is proud to announce that Mr. Kenneth Gladney will be joining the nationwide Tea Party tour hosting 35 rallies across the country, set to launch this Friday, August 28.

Kenneth Gladney didn’t expect to be the victim of an angry mob when he went to a town hall meeting hosted by Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-Missouri). While selling "Don't Tread on Me" flags outside the town hall forum, he was physically and verbally attacked by members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), who knocked Gladney to the ground and proceeded to punch and kick him.

Mr. Gladney joins the Tea Party Express to continue exercising his free speech rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. He will encourage attendees at the tea party rallies to also exercise their own free speech rights and to contribute to the dialogue about the important policy issues now facing Americans.

“Kenneth Gladney was attacked for doing nothing more than exercising his right to free speech and engage in commerce. These are fundamental American rights that all of us should cherish and protect,” said Deborah Johns, Vice Chairman of the Our Country Deserves Better Committee which is organizing the “Tea Party Express.” Ms. Johns is also a Marine Mom, whose son, William, is currently serving in the United States Marines including multiple tours of duty in the War on Terror.

“My son has served multiple tours of duty overseas in the War on Terror. He has risked his life so that all Americans may retain the rights our Founding Fathers intended for them. However, some of President Obama’s supporters - who once argued that dissent is patriotic – now show zero tolerance for anyone not advocating complete support for the President’s big-government agenda,” said Ms. Johns.

“If President Obama’s supporters think they can use violence to silence the backlash against his policies of tax-spend-bailout, they are sadly mistaken. We are all Kenneth Gladney, and we at the Tea Party Express will stand with him and his right to speak his mind without fear of violence or intimidation,” said Johns.

The Tea Party Express supports patriots like Mr. Gladney, and is delighted to welcome him aboard the tour. Mr. Gladney will join the tour in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 31st, and continue on to the grand finale event – a March on Washington on September 12, 2009.
