River birch leaves are turning yellow and falling. Changing colors of sassafras trees are visible in background.

We had a dry summer and the deer have eaten many flowers and shrubs including this sedum plant. It is the first year we have had this problem but others have dealt with it for years. The above sedum should look like the one below.
