When I was educating my children at home, I was the teen coordinator for our local home school group for 10 years. I loved those kids ... still do ... and have enjoyed working with other young people in the two years since my youngest graduated from home school.
Tonight I am working on lesson plans for a home school government class for grades 9-12. That is a great age group and they are the future of our country. My key to teaching is always to make it interactive and to have visuals to assist in learning, not boring book work.Tonight I am working on the requirements for voting and the Electoral College. Visuals, visuals, visuals!
