Health care bill ... keep phoning, emailing, contacting

From AFP's Phil Kerpin....

Wanted to send a quick update. This is coming down to the wire, and it looks like we might win. As I write this Friday evening, Nancy Pelosi doesn't have the votes to pass a Washington takeover of health care. She's already broken her promise to post the bill on the Internet by continuing to add secret last-minute special interests provisions to get enough votes to squeak it through.

Steny Hoyer, the House Democratic leader, has said the vote could slip to Sunday, or even into next week. Our messages are registering with wavering Democrats. President Obama himself may be on the Hill tomorrow trying to twist arms and force it through, and we need to push back.

The time is now. Congressman Steve King has called for another Congressional House Call tomorrow, Saturday November 7 at 1PM on the Capitol steps. I'll be there, and if you can make it please come.

Whether you can make it or not, keep the phone calls pouring in. Let's win this one. Thanks.

Phil
