The morning coolness is blowing in the open windows as we go into another nice day with temps in the low- to mid-80s. Skies are overcast at the moment but may clear up as the day progresses.The mountains are calling so I'm meeting a friend to picnic on the Skyline Drive and catch up on life. That's one of the many nice things about living in the Shenandoah Valley ... 10-15 minutes in just about any direction puts you in the mountains. I've got my camera packed and looking forward to a day in the quiet of the ridges.
It's late summer in the Shenandoah Valley....
