Rain in Valley may lead to flash flooding

After weeks of dry weather, the Shenandoah Valley saw relief Sunday and Monday with a steady rain. Now a tropical depression is moving up the East Coast and will soak the Valley possibly causing flooding to some locations.

From WHSV TV-3:
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the entire viewing area from this evening through Thursday evening. 2-4 inches of rainfall is expected with localities seeing 6 or more inches.
Hopefully, the rain will help with forest fires in the surrounding national forests.
