Virginia home school day at New Market Battlefield

When we first moved back to Virginia and joined the local home school group, our very first field trip was to the New Market Battlefield on HEAV's Home School Day.

That day we met local home schoolers who became lifelong friends, and my children met friends who remain friends to this day although they have all grown up over the past 15 years. It was a wonderful introduction to Virginia home schooling and provided friends for my children and me.
