Majority Leader Eric Cantor announced the U.S. House legislative agenda today, which includes the Authority for Mandate Delay Act that proposes to delay the application of the employer health insurance mandate from December 31, 2013, to December 31, 2014, and the Fairness for American Families Act, a house cleaning item to delay the application of the individual health insurance mandate.
The Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health will have a hearing on “Delay of the Employer Mandate Penalties and Reporting Requirements” at 10:00 a.m. with a focus on the Obama Administration's decision to delay the penalties for the employer mandate and the employer information reporting requirements under the Affordable Care Act.
