Christmas in the Shenandoah Valley ... Waynesboro's "River City" celebration

All the traditional sights, sounds, and aromas of the Holidays will be present in downtown Waynesboro on Friday evening, December 21, 2007, as Waynesboro Downtown Development Inc. hosts "Christmas in the River City." It will be a night for holiday dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Over 30 downtown businesses will take part in the celebration from 5-8:00 p.m. which will include a visit by Santa at the Waynesboro Galleries. The Heritage Museum will present a reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol ... the Model Train Museum will be open to welcome kids of all ages ... caroling on the streets ... carriage rides pulled by Clydesdales....

The River City Radio Hour will take place at the Blue Ridge Christian Fellowship Cafe and Music Hall on Main Street and will feature the Boogie Kings, comedian Marsha Howard, Singing Santa, and the first installment of "Mystery of the Meandering Music Box" by Beth Massie.
