While the judge did not grant the requested injunction against Anderson to prevent him from blocking the 59 duly-certified Augusta County delegates at tomorrow's 6th District Convention in Lexington, he did basically put Anderson on notice to do the right thing and follow RPV's State Party Plan and the 6th District Bylaws to seat the delegates.
When Kurt Michael was asked how he felt after the judge's ruling, he said, "We the plaintiffs got what we set out to do. This is not about the chairmanship but about the delegates."
Bob Stuart with the Waynesboro News Virginian concluded:
Anderson said the convention’s Credentials Committee will review the delegates from Augusta County Saturday morning to see that they are properly credentialed. And, Anderson said there will be a 2 p.m. meeting to determine whether Michael is still the Augusta County Republican chair, or whether Larry Roller is the county chair.”The saga continues tomorrow when a 2 pm meeting after the convention will be held of the 6th District leadership to determine the outcome of the April 10, 2008, mass meeting.
