Today in the Shenandoah Valley....

We have a beautiful day in the Valley with expected highs in the upper 70s, light breezes, and sunshine. The mountains have a blanket of green as the leaves have almost fully filled out on the tree-filled slopes.

I was out early working in the yard ... in for a glass of iced tea before heading back out. With this beautiful weather, it's a great opportunity to enjoy the many events going on in the SWAC area today:

Mossy Creek in Fishersville has Footloose Karaoke from 9-11 pm. 761 Jefferson Highway beside Augusta County Public Library. (540) 941-0088.

Eat lunch outdoors in the multitude of local and national parks surrounding the area or even on the patio of a SWAC area restaurant. This is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Get outdoors, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and relax....

It's spring in the Valley....

Update: High clouds have moved into the Valley causing overcast skies and, at 2 pm, the temp is only 71 degrees so that high that was predicted will not be reached today. It's still nice out there although a bit breezier than this morning.
