Rep. Glenn Nye plans no townhall meetings during August recess

Congressional District 2 - Glenn Nye (D)

No events are currently scheduled. According to a staff member, Rep. Glenn Nye is not planning on having any townhall meetings during the August recess as he had a townhall-type phone call a few weeks ago.

However, we are now knee-deep in a socialized health care bill that needs to be discussed. Constituents have questions ... representatives should be there to answer those questions.

If his not having townhalls is not acceptable with you, be sure to call Rep. Nye's office.

If Glenn Nye won't come to the town hall, maybe the town hall should come to Glenn Nye? Anybody have his office address? Maybe we could get a rally together outside or something.

Imagine that...he's one of the so called Blue Dogs that sold out his principles of "fiscal responsibility" that got him elected and signed on to this disaster of a health care bill.

He is not a "Blue Dog". He is a Liberal youngster, that Pelosi allows him to vote against the Dem's, because he represents a Conservative area. I really don't think he has the decency to hold a "Town Hall Meeting". He will vote the way the Dems tell him to.

I do not believe that Rep. Nye is a "Blue Dog" Democrat. I believe that he is a "Left Wing Liberal". The only reason that he has voted the way he has, is because that Pelosi lets him vote to please his Conservative Constituents. He is a wild card that is left until they try to pass a bill and when ordered by the Dem's he will vote the way he is told. It he wants to stay in Congress he will hold a town hall meeting to discuss the "Health Care Bill". He needs to listen to the voters and not to the far left!!!

How can a country afford universal health care at a time of a major recession, anyone with any common sense can come up with this conclusion. Bill Nye is a coward for not having a town hall meeting reagrding this major issue. This country is heading to bankruptcy and a deeper recession and Bill Nye can not even hold a town hall meeting???

Why should Rep. Nye hold a town hall meeting when right wing extremists have turned them into a shout fest and a security danger to the elected representative.

Whether the disturbances are coordinated activities of GOP and health industry plants or the random rants of misinformed and frustrated individuals, these "town hall meetings" bear little resemblance to the largely civil New England gatherings from which they are named.

Good for Nye - why give you folks another chance to get on the evening news. Open your windows and scream out to the streets if you need to vent.
