English rap singer MIA flipped off America during Sunday night's Super Bowl half-time show ... oh, so kindergarten. That was to prove ... what? She was edgy? Cool? Instead, she looked stupid. Come on, Madonna ... could you find someone else to perform with you? Instead, you had someone who upstaged you.
The ending of the half-time show had "WORLD PEACE" spelled out in lights. We've been working on that since World War I, Madonna ... where have you been? That is soooo old. Oh, that's right -- we're talking about 1980s-era Madonna using a worn-out phrase like "World Peace." You mean like your side-singer MIA flipping off a world audience?
Here's a suggestion for the NFL for next year's Super Bowl half-time show. Why not pull in some country acts to entertain America? They usually have a higher standard and respect for their audiences than MIA showed Sunday night.
All-in-all, not a bad Super Bowl, great game, an entertaining crop of commercials, and another chapter of American tradition tucked into history.
