'Tebow Bill' headed to final House vote on Wednesday

Homeschoolers may want to make one more call to their delegates before Wednesday's vote in the House of Delegates to ask they vote YES on Delegate Rob Bell’s (R-58th House) HB 947 also known as the "Tebow Bill."

After passing out of the House Education sub-committee and full House Education committee, the "Tebow Bill" finally reached the floor of the House of Delegates where it has undergone two preliminary votes leading up to Wednesday's final vote. Making it this far is historic and making it out of the House will send it to the Senate.

Governor Bob McDonnell (R) is for it. Delegate Rob Bell (R- 58th House) sponsored it. The Family Foundation backs it. Home Educators Association of Virginia (HEAV) also backs it as well as the Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers.

Sources are saying there are holdouts within the Republican delegation so parents may want to put in extra phone calls and emails to their reps before tomorrow's vote.
