102 degrees in Shenandoah Valley ... heat advisory continues

It's the third day of heat in the Shenandoah Valley with yet another heat advisory from the National Weather Service. By 1:00 it was 102 degrees west of Staunton in Augusta County with big thunderheads forming over the western mountains. Stay cool out there....

UPDATE: Valley hits 100 degrees at 2 pm ... heat advisory for 2nd day

It's hot out there folks, and for the second day in a row a heat advisory has been issued in the Shenandoah Valley until 8:00 p.m. At noon it was 99 degrees west of Staunton....

Update: The thermometer topped out at 100 degrees at 2 p.m.

Heat advisory for the Valley....

It's hot out there, folks. Thank goodness for the blustery breeze but temps are supposed to top out around 97 degrees in the Valley today ... and 100 tomorrow ... the weather service has issued a heat advisory. The wash is drying quickly on the clothesline; veggies have been picked from the garden, flowers have been watered, and I'm in the cool now. It's a great day to be in a pool, at the lake, on the river, in the air conditioning.
