Remembering the past: Waynesboro heritage museum reopens
Memories of the past fill the walls and space at the Waynesboro Heritage Museum ... books, toys, tools, photographs, uniforms ... in a newly-renovated building that is also from the past. A grand re-opening celebration will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the historical building that houses the museum which is located on the corner of Wayne and Main Streets in downtown Waynesboro. The $2.3 million makeover of the building included updating, painting, and carpeting with plans to add more exhibits and a media room. A gift shop has been added with items including coffee mugs, books, postcards, and more.
Beginning Tuesday, October 2, regular museum hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
