George W. Bush talks with the Washington Examiner
Former President George W. Bush sat down with the Washington Examiner's senior political analyist Michael Barone to talk about his just-released book, "Decision Points." Mr. Barone's column is in today's edition:
George W. Bush is sitting on a hotel sofa in front of a south-facing window on a sunny November morning. His presidential memoir “Decision Points” is No. 1 on Amazon.com and is expected to be No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list. “I’ve got a very comfortable life,” he says.A discussion then followed as the former president talked about decisions made during his war-time presidency. At this point in the book tour, it's difficult to follow so many other interviews but this is a good read at the WaEx.

Staunton veterans parade ... Operation Iraqi Freedom vet and his son
This little sweetie is five years old and was part of the parade. In the photo below, he sat at the table on the Veterans of Foreign War float writing a letter to a serviceman away from home. Also on the float was a soldier at war reading the letter. It was part of their "support our servicemen" campaign ... "letters from home." His dad was in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
"Letters from home" ... remembering our service members year 'round.

Staunton veterans parade ... vet of 3 wars Speedy Hite
Speedy Hite, U.S. Army veteran, on a float that honored those who did not come back home. Mr. Hite, 93, is a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. We are grateful to his service and for all he does for the community.

So many children at the parade ... thank you to their parents for teaching them something important.
This little girl had her blanket to ward off the morning chill.
