Hey, look who is writing lol. We just moved from our cans into the holding tents yesterday. Our flight window is about a week away, or maybe in as few as three days. We are all pretty excited and kind of bored I guess. We are so ready to head home! ...
It was a great feeling to clear my rifle for the last time and finally take the combat sappy plates and side sappies (body armor) off of my flak jacket. ... It is starting to get pretty hot here, figures since we just moved into the stuffy holding tents.
Oh, Happy Easter. I was on guard all morning so I didn't get to go to church or get dressed up in nice clothes or anything but they did have some chocolate bunnies at the chow hall....
Nate's coming home. Keep praying for our armed forces. They're over there so the terrorists won't be over here, and they're doing a hell of a job. We are very appreciative of their dedication and sacrifice for our freedoms here at home.
Thanks Nate ... thanks Salatin family. You are all our heroes. Semper Fi.

That's awesome! Can't wait to see him when he gets back home!
I can't wait either. I plan to line his parents' driveway with American flags and Win the War signs ... a grand celebration for a fitting American hero. You're invited to join the celebration ... you are, after all, his brother Marine. :)
