Protesters at Republican National Convention?

Perhaps you heard there were protesters at the Republican National Convention?

That's what the news says ... but we haven't seen them with the exception of a handful standing on a bridge over the interstate with a few signs. The news showed what they described as hooligans, anarcharists who cover their faces with bandanas, who went on a rampage in downtown Saint Paul Monday. Apparently their plan was to prevent delegates from reaching the Xcel Convention Center.

They failed.

We did not see them, and the buses delivered everyone just fine. There were dozens of riot police protecting the convention area along with Minnesota state police and secret service or FBI or someone very stern in the dark suits.

Fox News 9, the local station, had the tires on their vehicles slashed as well as other vehicles that were vandalized. Hooligans also broke out the plate glass windows in Macy's department store. All that took place on the Saint Paul side of the river.

Basically those protesters must not believe in freedom of speech if they were trying to prevent us from reaching the Xcel Center.

Hypocrites.
